We pride ourselves on bringing you some of the best under-the-radar music out there. Coming soon: Album downloads! Bob Rafkin, tales of The Byrds, Spanky & Our Gang and Augie Meyers - Collateral Happiness April 2013 V/A - Amoebas Jason Smart - Jason Smart brings us another great song. Two Left Feet The Tea Thieves - St George and The Dragon Bishi - This song tells the legend of Dragon Hill, a small knoll beneath White Horse Down in Uffington, Wiltshire. It is told that King George slay'd the beast upon the hill and there he is buried to this day. The great white figure (horse or dragon) was scribed in the chalk downs to mark forever the place where the dragon lies. And so, say many, lies England. To 'turn again' in English folk lore, is to waken the ground beneath your feet thus binding your wish with the turning of the day/ earth (so Dick Whittington bound his fate when he turned again to London). It is said that when the Dragon stirs again the people of England will return to peace and prosperity, so turn again on Dragon Hill, beneath the hill at Uffington and awake the dragon within. Bishis new album Albion Voice is "almost ready" and should be out in June. Rosco Levee - Rosco Levee is a singer songwriter and guitarist from Kent, who has been playing the guitar for the last 23 years...and he’s only 28 now! Music and writing songs is in his blood; every day he composes a new song, a set of lyrics or a new melody to work with. Spurred on by his good friend, the notable singer songwriter Pete Molinari, Rosco has gone back to his roots where he was brought up on a diet of blues, country and rock ‘n’ roll. Artists such as Robert Johnson, Delaney Bramlett and Elvis, and bands such as The Allman Brothers, Rolling Stones and The Band are all major influences. Rosco chatted with Big Untidy in October 2011 as his debut EP was released. www.roscolevee.com Filipe Gomes and the Jigsaw Pieces - Without Melody by Filipe Gomes & The Jigsaw Pieces is the music of Filipe Gomes and an ensemble of friends who come together to make dreamy-eyed, soul-searching folk music. Filipe and Untidy Barry met for coffee and a chat - hence the background sound of cutlery being cleaned and tables prepared for the evening meals. The album is described as "self-reflections and personal ghosts combining Filipe’s folk origins with a love of eclectic sounds both acoustic and electronic, beautifully layered indie-folk which develop across themes of abandonment, family and solitude". Left Turn 4 is a music collective run by the artists. It has, and will continue, to release music by the people involved in the running of the label and others who share our passion for music which is personal, honest and innovative.

Charlie Hart September 2011 - Slim Chance Reformed and Unrepentant - SLIM CHANCE, the band Ronnie Lane formed when he left the Faces, is treading the boards again. Original members Steve Simpson, Charlie Hart, Steve Bingham, Alun Davies and Colin Davey, joined by Geraint Watkins, are playing Ronnie’s songs in the spirit of the band’s previous incarnations. Charlie Hart spoke briefly with Untidy Barry after a storming gig September 2011. Charlie had given his all as usual over 2 full length sets and was also in the midst of rehearsals for another project, so, at his request the chat was brief with a promise to catch up again when the album is out. Includes 2 tracks recorded by this line up Autumn 2011. Big thanks to Charlie, top geezer. www.slim-chance.co.uk for more details and dates. If Wen - Take A Look At The Sea - “..not only a selection of natural, soothing acoustic tracks but a celebration of nature and its beauty…brings to mind comparisons to artists such as Nick Drake and Elliott Smith. This album is a definite for anyone who plans to spend this summer relaxing in a peaceful, pastoral place, away from the busy city and the worries of life.” - Nicholas Benson, Folk Music, Suite 101 “Delicate, awkward, endearingly intimate, this is an album to savour, to mull over…A bedsit album for the modern age.” - Paul Kerr, Blabber ‘n’ Smoke “Beautifully played and recorded….it’s an album that harks back to the folkie idealism of the late sixties and Donovan, Al Stewart and Nick Drake in particular….if ‘classic’ late 1960’s style English singer songwriter folk is your bag, then Take A Look At Sea is an essential purchase.” - Pete Whalley, Get Ready to Rock!
