Just around the corner from the school
Is the place we go to in the break time
Mr and Mrs Fudge with the sunshine in their eyes
And the sweetshop of childhood surprises.

There are jars on the shelf
Full of childhood treats
Boiled Sweets,
Jelly Babies,
Chocolate Buttons,
Rainbow Drops,
Nougat,
Fudge,
Marshmallow,
Liquorish,
Jubilees,
Ice Poles..

Mr and Mrs Fudge with the sunshine in their eyes
And the sweetshop of childhood surprises.

I hope Basher Blogs doesn’t steal my sweets
I saw him sulking in the playground
I hope the school prefect doesn’t confiscate them
He’s got ideas above his station.
