KLANG KLANG KLANG

The bells of the Evangelische Auenkirsche are ringing out across the Berlin district of Wilmersdorf. It´s six o´clock, Saturday evening, and the sound is reverberating throughout the cobbled streets on this otherwise calm evening.

Isn´t it a glorious sound?

How old are those bells?

They have chimed over centuries.

Think what they have survived...

At least they have been consistent.

Klang, klang, klang...

A woman approaches me, turns her head and looks up towards the church tower.

She smiles.

Did we both think the same thing?

In a way, the sound of the bells is amusing.

At ten past six it all comes to an end.

Suddenly, the sound of the traffic can be heard again.
